Located in the heart of the renowned town of Montignac-Lascaux, just 400 meters from the Lascaux 4 caves, the Lascaux Canoe center offers a choice of 5 canoe routes ranging from 4 to 17 km (2, 3, 4, or 5-person canoes), kayaks, and paddleboards, with no time limit. In the heart of the Périgord Noir region of the Dordogne, come with family, friends, or colleagues to discover or rediscover the most beautiful landscapes, castles, and troglodyte sites of the stunning Vézère Valley, officially designated a Grand Site de France. The Vézère is a tranquil, wild, family-friendly, and intimate river. Meet us at our Lascaux Canoe reception (free municipal parking) near the boat launch for the departure of all routes. Reduced rates are available for children under 12. Our services
8 km, The 3 Castles
Departures every 30 minutes for canoeing (2, 3, 4, or 5-seater), kayaking, or paddleboarding at the foot of the Château de Losse in Thonac (river tours of the Château de Losse are available in July and August). Enjoy a peaceful descent along the river for at least two hours, discovering the three magnificent castles of the Vézère Valley. There's no time limit; your adventure ends at the Canoë Family base in Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère (listed among the most beautiful villages in France), with regular returns to your Lascaux Canoë base.
Please arrive 15 minutes early for online or telephone reservations. Free shaded parking is available. The Lascaux canoe base is located approximately 400m from the Lascaux 4 caves and only 200m from the historic center of Montignac-Lascaux.

Departing continuously from the Lascaux canoe base, travel 12 km and discover the castles along the Vézère Valley for at least 3 hours by canoe (2, 3, 4, or 5 seats), kayak, or paddleboard. No time constraints, as this is the perfect opportunity to enjoy your holiday in complete tranquility. Return by minibus every hour.
